Christmas Chai Spice Cupcakes

Decorated Cupcakes

The holiday season brings vibrant colors, faces filled with joy, and plenty of time to be spent with loved ones. One of my favorites to have during these cold days is Vanilla Chai from Dunkin Donuts because it provides equal amounts of caffeine, sweetness, and warmth. Inspired by the drink, these cupcakes are a chai spiced base with a luscious vanilla frosting. I used green sugar as the base for the decorations and then added multi colored sprinkles on top to represent the ornaments on a Christmas tree.  Instead of the normal size cupcakes, I decided to make these mini because its the perfect size and you won’t feel guilty about them later on. A true holiday hit!

Fall Favorite

Decorated Cupcakes

As fall approaches, the leaves change color, an aroma of spices is in the air, and holiday decorations are laid out every where. Pumpkin spice is an ultimate must have during the season because its the perfect combination of earthiness and warmth. These cupcakes are a pumpkin spice base with a vanilla butter cream frosting and topped with assorted sprinkles. The base had both pumpkin pie spice and pumpkin puree. Since it was Halloween weekend, I added orange food coloring to the frosting and used black and orange sprinkles for half of them. These have become a Fall favorite. Enjoy!

Black and Red Berry Cake

Decorated Cake

It is critical to ask the client for any ideas they may have or for their favorite flavors in order to provide the perfect cake. In this cake, my brother decided he wanted a black and red cake because those were his favorite colors. Using this idea, I came up with a vanilla based cake filled with strawberry preserves and topped with cream cheese frosting and fresh berries. For decoration, I lined the edge with alternating raspberries and blackberries to represent black and red. This is a simple but classy cake that will go great for every event. Enjoy!

Snow Storm Strawberry Cake

Final Bundt Cake

Winter has arrived and baking adventures are a must. During this blizzard, I baked a classic vanilla based cake with chunks of strawberries in it. This cake was so moist and sweet that there was no need for a glaze on it. To make it look fancy, the cake was baked in a decorative bundt pan. However, this recipe can be used for cupcakes or any shaped cake pans. Keep Warm Everyone!

Some Bunny is Turning One Cupcakes

Decorated Product before Party

Every occasion, whether it’s a simple birthday or a wedding, deserves to have fabulous desserts. Since my niece was turning one, I was fully prepared to create the perfect cupcakes for the Peter Rabbit themed celebration. For obvious reasons, the first type of cupcakes is a carrot cake cupcake topped with a cream cheese frosting and garnished with cinnamon Oreo cookie crumbs. The second batch were inspired by the summer flavor, strawberry lemonade, with a vanilla based cake filled with strawberry preserves topped lemon buttercream and garnished with assorted sprinkles. Each of the cupcakes had a peter rabbit themed topper that was ordered online via Etsy and Amazon. Both of these flavors are great for the summer/spring because not only are they fresh, vibrant, and delicious but they can also be made in to bigger cakes. Happy Summer!

Lemon Cupcakes

Decorated Cupcakes

Summer is vastly approaching and I wanted to create a vibrant cupcake that would fit this weekend barbecue. Inspired by the popular summer drink, lemonade, this cupcake has a vanilla base and is topped with lemon buttercream, assorted sprinkles, and a fresh strawberry. Fresh fruit is always a great topper to use because they add freshness and light tartness to the sweet frosting. There is no party without a delicious dessert to finish off the meal. Enjoy the outdoors during this beautiful weather!

Red Velvet Cupcakes

Decorated and Ready to Travel Cupcakes

Prior to baking cupcakes for a party, I usually go through my pantry and take a stroll through the baking aisle at my local grocery store for inspiration. For this particular party, the process was no different. As I was walking through the grocery store, I noticed that there were Limited Edition Red Velvet Oreos which led me to an aha moment.  Red Velvet is a southern chocolate cake that is infused with food coloring to give it that vibrant red color. It is a classic cake flavor used almost all the time and  tweaked for every occasion. It is best paired with a fluffy cream cheese frosting. For decorations, crushed up cookies truly add that extra crunch and pair perfectly with the moist cake and velvety frosting.

Summer Birthday Cupcakes

Decorated Cupcakes

For any birthday or occasion, the most important factor to consider is the client’s interest. Since it is designed for them, its best to include their favorite flavors. Not only will this provide the base for your dessert but it also will help bring in many ideas for flavors to pair it with. For this occasion, I created a twist on chocolate covered strawberries by making a chocolate cupcake frosted with a strawberry buttercream and topped with assorted sprinkles and strawberries as a garnish. Not only is this cupcake suitable for all occasions but it is also refreshing for these hot and humid summer days. Happy Summer!

Cookies & Cream Cupcakes

Decorated Cupcakes

One of the best ways to show your appreciation and gratitude for someone is with something personal filled with lots of love and sugar (of course). Today, I made a chocolate fudge cupcake topped with a light whipped cookie cream frosting and crushed Oreo cookies. In order to enjoy the taste of the Oreos throughout the cupcake, I added crushed cookies into the frosting and as a garnish. The best way to any person’s heart is through their stomach. Happy Eating!

Classic Birthday Cupcakes

Decorated Cupcakes

My main goal for every occasion is to bake a dessert that is a twist on popular flavors that we all grew up eating. Since my friend is always indecisive between picking vanilla or chocolate, I thought it would be a great idea to get the best of both worlds. These cupcakes are a spin on the classic birthday cake which is typically a yellow cake with chocolate frosting. It’s always good to change it up and bake cupcakes rather than a cake since they are more personal. Sprinkles and candies are the go-to for decorations because they are not only easy to find but also delicious and can be customized.
